If the Justice system wants to show some spine, now is the perfect opportunity. If they don't, we're going to see a massive continuation of this grubby act in society, because 'kids' will think and know it is another crime they can simply get away with. Lock the GRUB up for the maximum 7 years I say. That will teach him to appeal
It is an opportunity to rub these wankers out of both society and sport. If he gets off this charge with community service and we allow him to continue playing football it would make a farce of the whole legal system. Lock him up just like John Smith the Plummer would be for the same offence.
