The NFL is underway and I couldn't be more excited. I was on youtube watching highlights of Adrian Peterson who is currently the best player in the NFL as he is an unstoppable freak. While I was searching through i saw a link to some highlights of my favourite player growing up- the one and only Barry Sanders who would own every record in the book if he didn't retire in his prime, sick of playing for the retarded Lions. The moves on this guy are undescribable. Enjoy.
He is very good Deevs, very good. No Marhsall Faulk though!
ReplyDeletehmmmm......
ReplyDeleteMarshall Faulk was probably the most complete RB I've seen as he could be just as big a threat catching the ball.... but I think Sanders is eaasily the most elusive runner ever and probably the hardest to tackle best pure runner that I've seen- I'd rather try to tackle a big back than one you cant even get a hand on.
Marshall made that offense go but Sanders was unfortunately saddled with a bunch of retards for 10 years until it drove him crazy- how good would he have been playing with the 99-01 Rams??
I think if Peterson can stay healthy for the next 8-10 years he will break all the records. What he can do on a field and the nothing plays with good penetration he can manouver out of and turn into big plays is as good as I have seen on any sporting field.
ReplyDeleteGood post Deevs, Madden has a huge opinion of Sanders this is the first vision I have seen but he looks like a gun.
I dont know a huge amount about gridiron but can see that bloke obviously has considerable talent.
ReplyDeleteDeevs (and other NFL experts) forgive my ignorance on this topic/sport, but how come Sanders was tied to The Lions for so long? Does the NFL have more stringent contracts than say our NRL which allows players to be released if they're obviously not happy and/or playing up, or worse still the soccer/FIFA transfer rules which are simply diabolical? Or was he just the most loyal player in sporting history to his beloved(?) Lions team???
