Due to the consistent shoddiness of my picks- I'm only throwing out two this week and I invite all and sundry to put in their best bet of the week-
I say take the Dogs at the Dragons getting 3 1/2 as that'll be a close one, they're both good teams so take points there. Also, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Panthers at home giving only 6.5 to the putrid Sharks seems like a good thing.
What are your picks of the weekend? F#ck knows everyone should have more idea than me.

I think the broncos will put 50 on a depleted Titans line up. No Bailey and Laffranchi and having Presto and Prince in doubt leaves the Titans with no chance. Put $50 on Folau 1st try scorer/Brisbane 13+ double (16-1) for an $800 return. Thank me later.
ReplyDeleteThis is the Multi I have put on at sportingbet
ReplyDeleteOne game from each day leaving the Monday game out for later if i need to recoup the loses if it all goes bad.
St George vs Canterbury
Selection:Canterbury Price:Line(5.5) @1.72
Penrith vs Cronulla
Selection:Penrith Price:Line(-6.0) @1.72
Wests vs South Sydney
Selection:South Sydney Price:Line(3.0) @1.72
For those who dont know Deevs put his tips of the week up late yesterday and they included the following tips
ReplyDelete1. Melbourne - start against the Roosters. This game was on Monday just gone so very hard to bet on
2. Hawthorn to beat Fremantle-Deevs said that The Hawks were coming into form so should beat Freo. Hawthorn got beat by 40 last week against the Bombers so they arent in form.
These tips were so bad that he took them off the site obviously!!!
Sheps Tip of the Week:
ReplyDeleteMulti Bet:
Knights to beat the Roosters @ $1.60
Panthers to beat the Sharks @ $1.42
Souths to beat Tigers @ $2.05
Manly to beat the Eels @ $1.45
Waratahs to beat the Lions @ $1.50
Total pay for $1 is $10.15

These bets are all head to head. Panthers have a poor record against the Sharks and have only Won 2 of the past 8 games Vs the Shire Boys, coming on the back of the scandal this week, a bye and needing a win this will be closer than most think, however if Penrith are serious about mounting a challenge for the title this is a game they must win. Knights are in alot better form than the Roosters, this makes the Saturday afternoon game a formality, Knights play tough and the Roosters dont. Souths to beat the Tigers this is the longest odd in the Multi, however it is the bet I am most confident in. Souths have been terribly unlucky and sometimes their own worst enemy however with the loss of Lawrence and Collis along with Gibbs and an injury cloud over Heighnington this is a game the Bunnies must win. I like Wing at 6 and Sutton at 13. Eels are pretenders and a flogging is only around the corner and what a better venue than Brookvale and the defending premiers making a charge. Waratahs to win as they need to score points if any hope of making the finals and the Lions have struggled to do so all year.
In other games. Broncos should win but they were awful last week and the Titans with Prince are always a chance and they need no motivation to lift in the local derby. I think the Dragons beat the Dogs by at least 2 trys, Dogs are pretenders I believe. Warriors should cover the Cowboys in NZ however they are too unpredictable. Storm should beat the Raiders however I think it will be a tight tussle with the Storms attack yet to click this season.
"Penrith mounting a challenge for the title" PLEASE wake up and smell the roses Boxhead! Everything else is spot on although I think the Roosters were pretty good against Melbourne on Monday night and will get close to the Knights. The short back up will hurt them though.
ReplyDeleteGordan is out for 12-14 weeks for the panthers due to ankle surgery. He will be missed !! Could be a shark upset this week. Teams like to shape up through adversity !
ReplyDeleteREALLY? The paper said only a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteIf Penrith are serious about making a tilt at 8 and the premiership they need to win this game, because Penrith have a habbit of beating teams at the top of the ladder and loosing to teams they should beat, this is a team they should beat, simple. I didnt say they were going to win the comp. Mick Gordon is out for between 4-12 weeks depending how he recovers from ankle surgery last week. Too early to tell.
ReplyDeletei dont think the scandal will affect the current sharks. wingers dont get missed unless they are one of the best, they'll find someone else to kick goals. penrith will be ok. also, in my defence pawd i was going off the centrebet site for the games which is now banned for me. i think ill stick with sportstab in future. by the way boxhead the panthers will be flat out making the 8, let alone winning the thing.
ReplyDeleteBoxhead do you know Mick Gordan personally ?
ReplyDeleteGiddy up !!! Happy with my pay !! Anyone follow me?
ReplyDeleteTip of the Year George. Unfortunately I didnt get on it! F*CK!!!
ReplyDeleteI had $10 on Georges tip. Great effort. Even though it hurt to see the Titans go down.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone get on my 10-1 multi? Good times, had a lazy pineapple on it.
In terms of Mick Gordon, the injury report was on the Panthers website, but I have a few mates in grade up there.

ReplyDeleteNice work with the multi Boxhead...didn't back it but Ill will follow your next tip/s for sure.
RE: Panthers...I am a trainer for the club and I was told he was going to be out for a minimum of 10-12 weeks. I thought it was a bit long for what he had but I could also be wrong. I guess only time will tell.
Yeah on the website it had that timeslot and thats all im going off. Originally pre surgery they had it listed from 4-12 weeks? Thats a massive space of time. Obviously they are not sure either. Time will tell.
