The Daily telegraph pointed out that people like Victoria Azarenka (above-Yeah, I have never heard of her either) are getting to play on centre court at Wimbledon while top seeds like Serena Williams who are playing at the same time have to move to court No. 2. Its about time that they took into account the way a tennis player looks when trying to decide who the public wants to watch. I personally don't mind watching a female tennis match and during that time I pay close attention to see who is smuggling the best sultana's. I am finally being rewarded...
Ever heard of Internet porn? Man Tennis is a rubbish sport and Grand Slams are becoming a 10 day borefest. I only get interested when the semi finals / final rolls around. Womens tennis is even worst than mens. Perving on sultanas in a tennis match is a bit sad! Id could think of alot of better things to do.

Fair enough if its 8 all in the 3rd set and you're buggered, good to see a bit of extra effort with a grunt now and then. But from word go when just serving the ball, FFS shut the fuck up you stupid sluts!
ReplyDeleteAs for the Williams sisters who are also in the loud screaming for no appraent reason class, yeah they are great players, but it is nice to see them banished to the backcourts until they clean up their act and muzzle the screams at least.

You are 100% right when you say that everyone has an opinion but the whole purpose of this site is to voice them in a constructive and fun manner. At times I don't feel your have been. If I go to the effort of putting a topic up so everyone can comment on then I don't expect to be ridiculed regardless of whether you understand if I am joking or not. Keep to the topic and leave the personal shit out of it. Its pretty simple...if you don't like it then you don't have to read it or comment.

I agreed with your comments that we dont want to loose anyone and I was the first to encourage him to stay and compliment him on the quality of some of his posts. Good job washing over the rubbish he dished up above! The discussion in the pathetic referees was mutual and I never made a personal remark towards George, it was comment on an issue which is what I thought this site was all about, we disagreed yes however I didnt hold a grudge and loose sleep.
ReplyDeleteGo and read over that topic, we had a disagreement yes, however we ended the topic agreeing with eachother. My issue was the diving ect in rugby league and georges was that manly should not have been penalised. I then made a point I did not think the Titans should have been penalised for a stray Prince arm in the Newcastle game. Sure enough in Origin 2 last week, Luke O'Donnell held a marker deliberatley and was not penalised. My issue was not with George it was with the topic and the inconsistancies which have been evident in the time elapsed since. George has obviously taken something personally, im not going to wipe up his tears, it was childish was occured above. I expressed an opinion and he didnt like that it didnt agree with his own.

It has a lot more appeal if these 2 things are involved in the process. If it is Venus Vs Serena Williams in the final though, no amount of punting could get me to watch it.
If we are going to outline perving on women in sports I recon beach volleyball has to be the hands down winner. Play the girls in bikinis or nude, then I would think about watching tennis because it is boring. Hahah Venus V Serena all gorilla final.

ReplyDeletedont know either of you but boxhead you mentioning you have a difference of opinion with a lot of people does not come across as a massive surprise- you do seem to like to argue/express an opinion and some of them seemed to be coming from a biased fans point of view.
to try and argue that was a try in the titans/knights - the video ref is not allowed to judge whether or not he would have made the tackle just whether he was denied a fair opportunity - no contact allowed whatsoever from the marker - yes it happens in most tackles and if you are silly enough to do it on the tryline you run the risk of giving away a penalty.
this has been proven again by the amount of flak harrigan has copped over his origin decision.
the orford penalty incident was a disgraceful decision - if i was coaching a football team i would use that example of mat orford putting his body on the line and diving on the ball and rolling away - text book stuff from orford

ReplyDeleteI didnt say the decision was wrong frank, I argued that the dive was wrong and we are rewarding players who dive. If Sau had made an effort to tackle Zillman then I would have had no problem with the decision. This was the difference in the Manly / Titans game, Cambell and Orford had a contest for the ball and the referee made a decision, that decision was wrong. However if it is a fair contest regardless of the way the decision goes it makes it easier to cop.
